Blackjack is a game that reminds me somewhat of a rollercoaster. It is a game that begins slowly, but gradually gains speed. As you ramp up your profit, you feel as though you are slowly getting to the top of the coaster and then when you aren’t expecting it, the bottom collapses.
Blackjack is so akin to a rollercoaster the similarities are alarming. As with the popular fairground experience, your blackjack game will peak and things will be going well for awhile before it bottoms out yet again. You have to be a blackjack player that can readjust to the ups … downs of the game simply because the game of black jack is awash with them.
If you like the petite coaster, one that can’t go too high or fast, then bet small. If you find the only way you can enjoy the crazy ride is with a larger wager, then hop aboard for the rollercoaster ride of your life on the monster coaster. The high-roller will love the view from the monster crazy ride because he/she is not thinking on the drop as they rush quickly to the top of the game.
A win goal and a loss limit works well in blackjack, but very few players adhere to it. In blackjack, if you "get on the rollercoaster" as it’s going up, that’s terrific, but when the cards "go south" and the coaster begins to toss and turn, you had better get out in a hurry.
If you do not, you may not necessarily recall how much you enjoyed life while your bankroll was "up". The only thing you will remember is a lot of uncertainties, a mad ride and your head in the stratosphere. As you are recalling "what ifs", you won’t find it easy to recollect how "high up" you went but you will always remember that disappointing drop as clear as day.
