The main concept of the card game is to be dealt cards totaling up to twenty one. Each gambler is dealt 2 cards. When a black jack player is given a nine or less and an Ace they’ve been handed a soft hand. When the black jack player receives no Ace it is known as a hard hand. As soon as the cards have been handed to all players at the blackjack table, including the dealer, each blackjack player is provided the chance to make one of 6 decisions:
Requesting another card (Hit): When a gambler says "hit me" the dealer will deal them another card, if the adding of that card causes the value of the hand to exceed twenty one the gambler will have lost and be excluded from the game, if the card pushes the total to 21 the blackjack player will be the winner and if the total has not yet achieved twenty-one they’re still in the game.
Keeping the hand you have been given: If a player is satisfied with the hand they’ll stand. As soon as this has happened the croupier will disclose their cards and the player who has accumulated 21 or the closet to twenty-one will come away with a win.
Doubling Down: A gambler may ask to double down which doubles the wager they have made. As soon as you have taken this procedure you can only be given one more card. The details of doubling down are often out lined by the table or casino game rules so before competing make sure you are comfortable with the casino established rules. If you are playing at a web-based casino this is usually quite easy.
Watch for part 2.
